Welcome  to our home

SHARKYS

    Oasis
Paradise

Bastimentos is
an island that is
part of an archipelago known as Bocas del Toro.  Still pristine with many activities available to experience the wide diversity of all the islands.  We love our location and being eco friendly, as we are off the grid, using solar and rain water.
It became more popular when surfers discovered it.  Now, October to
April is considered
high season for waves.

General Information

A journey to Sharkys starts with a flight to Panama City..
(We love Copa Airlines, and they have direct flights from Dulles.)
But however you get there, Air Panama is the smaller airline that flies to Bocas del Toro.  It flies out of  Marcos A Gelabert International (PAC).  It flies several times a day (50 seats)
and takes 50 minutes.
We often stay at the RIU Plaza Hotel to bridge the flights, and give us an opportunity to see the sights.  (the breakfast is phenomenal in choices, included and delicious)
After landing in Bocas, a taxi to the Basti docks is $2 per person, where a boat taxi takes you on your short ride to our dock on Bastimentos
Upon arrival at our dock, you will have received a code that allows you to enter the apartment, where you will find all in readiness for your stay.
the house is well kitted, but you will need to get some groceries from Bocas del Toro, and shopping bags are provided. (in lower cupboard)
There is a lovely bread front with amazing homemade sourdough and other goodies (Panis)
Grocery stores are everywhere on Bocas, we mostly shop at Isla Colon, but get most of our produce from Victoria, who is supplied by local farmers.
The best pineapple and passion fruit I've ever eaten.
